Booking notes

Moraine Lake Road private-vehicle access is frequently restricted in peak season — check Parks Canada's shuttle schedule before day 2.

A Parks Canada park pass is required for the whole trip and is not included in the activity estimates above.

Eden Restaurant and Sky Bistro both benefit from reserving 1-2 weeks ahead in summer.

Local tips

Wildlife sightings are common along the Bow Valley Parkway — keep a safe distance and never feed animals.

Weather changes quickly in the Rockies; layers are useful even in summer.

Parking lots at Lake Louise and the Banff Gondola fill up by mid-morning in July and August.
